Windemar (Okie)

Our Horse of the Week is a handsome black Quarter Horse gelding named Windemar, who is located at SonOke Farms in Bracebridge, Ontario. Okie, as he is known around the barn, is the coolest 25 year old horse you will ever come across, says owner Tracy Howarth. When they are not on the trail, you will find Tracey and Okie pole bending or barrel racing at a local show. This horse loves to gallop, even at his age! Although Okie still shows, those younger horses usually beat him (but he always runs a clean course!)

Okie is such a social horse, he will follow you around the field, or just come into the barn if only to watch you clean stalls. His favourite things are dinner time and galloping; his dislikes are standing still and being alone.

Oakie's companion and handsome barnmate is More Impressions - Sonny.
