Cruzing With Cash This week we are featuring a sweet gelding named Cruzing With Cash. To all his friends this 16 h.h., Registered Appendix Quarter Horse, is affectionately called ‘Cruz'. He is a quiet gentle chestnut gelding with a flaxen mane, but because of his light chestnut colour he is sometimes confused for a sorrel. This beautiful gelding shares the same age as his owner Emma, - they are both 12 years old and have been showing together for 2 years. Prior to being purchased, a veterinarian did a standard ‘vet check’ and gave her thumbs up. He also added in the report that ‘Cruz is a perfect gentleman’ and true to her remarks he has been all this and more. Cruz and his owner show in both English and Western and have gone on to win many ribbons. Emma’s younger sister, Katie, just started showing him in Western, and being a true gentleman, Cruz will instinctively know that there is a little person on him and take it nice and slow. He can also be very playful and mischievous. In his cross ties if you get too close he will pull down the zipper on your coat looking for his treat. Cruz is known to have the freshest breath in the barn because his favourite treat is Peppermint! Congratulations to Cruzing with Cash on being our June 12th, 2006 Horse of the Week!
