Sharu Doll

This week our featured horse is a beautiful paint stallion named Sharu Doll. His owner, Brian, purchased Sharu's pregnant dam from Salt Lake City, Utah and imported her to Ontario, Canada. Sharu Doll was born to be a cutting horse so it's in his blood. His dam was Spectacular Smoke by Mister Gunsmoke and his sire was Doc Doll by Doc O'Lena.

When the young stallion was 2, Brian fractured his leg and Sharu Doll never got to be a cutter. Brian's wife, Jan, eventually broke Sharu when he was 13 years old and he is now used as a trail horse for his owner.

Sharu bred his first mare when he was 15 and he has 10 foals now. When Sharu is ridden regularily he is just like a doll, very quiet and a pleasure to be with.
