Sophia

Sophia is 15.1 hh chestnut Quarter Horse mare that resides at Maplehaven Equestrian Centre in Ontario, Canada. Her owner says this horse has been a wonderful addition to the Maplehaven herd. Sophia has been at this farm since she was one month of age.

Sophia's first year and a half was spent working on level one Parelli. She is so quiet you can open an umbrella between her legs, bounce a beach ball on her back and walk her over tarps! Now a three year old, Sophia is currently in training and will soon be working on the lope.

Her owner has been told by professional trainers that Sophia has all the makings of an excellent Western Pleasure horse. She plans to show Sophia in Walk/Jog this year with some practice classes in Western Pleasure near the end of the show season. This horse went to two shows last year as a two year old. The first show was only practice (her number was on upside down, which means do not judge). Her second show was the Coldwater Fall Fair where Sophia came in second in the Walk/Jog! Her owner was very proud... as Sophia didn't make a wrong move.

Every experience with this pretty mare has been fantastic for her and her owner and they are looking forward to their 2007 show season. Good luck Sophia!
