Arabian MareEtaya Egyptian Arabians

This week we are featuring Etaya Egyptian Stud Farm's gorgeous young stallion owned by Jennifer Parsons & Chris Fichaud of Victoria Harbour, Ontario.

Etaya Sudan Amir was crowned Reserve Supreme Champion Stallion at the 2009 Egyptian Event in Lexington, Kentucky. The Egyption Event is the world's largest Straight Egyptian Show and this title is typically won by a mature stallion. You can see video of the event on Etaya's website. Etaya Egyption Stud is also the first Canadian owner/breeder to have a horse earn this prestigious title.

Etaya Sudan Amir was born in 2007 to Etaya Amira and the stallion Imperial Mistaar.

The Etaya Egyptian Stud program is based on two half sisters out of Abitibi Maamouna - Abitibi Fleur and Abitibi Madelina. Their babies form the basis of the Mammouna family. 2007 signified the beginning of the Etaya Sudan line. This designation will be given to any Etaya foal out of the champion 3/4 sisters Etaya Amira and Etaya Shai Zahra.

The Arabian is regarded as the most influential breed in the world and traces in every line of its pedigree to horses born in the Desert of Arabia. They are valued for their beauty, intelligence and stamina. The Pyramid Society has more information on this breed www.pyramidsociety.org
