Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

Well, it is that time of year in Toronto, Canada for our ten day Agricultural Extravaganza. We picked Thursday as the day we put in a full day at the event, 9 in the morning to 10:30 at night. The highlight of our day was the evening horse show - we always seem to pick this day because the freestyle dressage is the most interesting performance. Olympic Equestrian Rider Ashley Holzer and Pop Art performed as well as Jacqueline Brooks.

We also saw the 6 horse Clydesdale Hitch, Hackney ponies and Friesians.

The Spirit of the Horse ring was a great place to hang out, and this year the Wind Rider Challenge was demonstrated daily.

It is always challenging to take photos indoors in these low light conditions with moving horses, but the subject matter is well worth the effort. The RWAF closed Sunday, but we will return in 2010. You can see more photos here.
