Libelula de Fina Vista

These photos were taken at the Central Canada Paso Fino Fun Show in Erin, Ontario in August 2008. Claire Christo says this of her horse:

"Libelula de Fina Vista is a 5 year old, dark bay Paso Fino who is the daughter of Fina Vista Farm's Mercenario de la Libertad and Canadian Dama de Noche. Lula lives with me at Tailwind Farm in Fenwick, Ontario in the Niagara area. Claire is Lula's proud slave and Lula is a precocious, curious, fun loving mare with a willing and brave nature. I bought Lula as a 2 year old to use, hopefully, as an endurance prospect but, like many of Mercy's babies, Lula grew and grew and is now 15.1 hh and very round. Lula is becoming a wonderful trail companion and she loves to show off.

Bob Darling of Paso Fino Niagara started Lula's formal schooling and we started and stopped many times as Lula went through her growth spurts. Now that she seems to have finished growing, Lula is balanced and gaits beautifully. We've always known that she has a rocking chair canter, but gaiting is her thing. This summer we found out that she will have a pretty good largo (even 4 beat gait the same speed as a canter) as well. I am now working on getting Lula off her forehand. Good luck Claire!

I have 2 other Paso Fino mares sharing life with Lula at Tailwind Farm. We all know that girls will be girls and one thing often leads to another. Lula's attitude is always "why can't we all just get along?"
