Draumur

Draumur is a 7 year old dapple gray Icelandic gelding owned by Lisa Dickson. He is five gaited with a fantastically smooth Tolt. His great grandfather is the famous Hrafn von Kroggolfsstadium.

Draumur lives at Lettfeti Farm in Shelburne, with his half sister Elska, her yearling filly Ty'ra and "B" who was also featured as a 'Horse of the Week' and is expecting a foal in June next year.

Draumur is quite the character around the barn and likes to be kept busy or have someone to play with otherwise he will make up things to do on his own. At one time he figured out how to dump the water trough and take the heater out (not plugged in at the time) also opened a gate and let himself into the barn, then proceeded to rearrange the shavings for me.

Recently Draumur competed in his first all breed gaited show (Central Canada Paso Fino Horse Association Fun Show) and received three firsts, a second and a fourth, and seemed quite pleased with himself at the end of the day.
