"Grace" - Threat's Bay Command - Registered Tennessee Walking Horse Written by Tina Horne of Maple Wind Farms - "Grace is a beautiful 15.1 hh registered Tennessee Walking Horse mare. She was imported directly from Tennessee, USA in February, 2009 by Maple Wind Farms of Hawkestone, Ontario. She has multiple World Grand Champions in her excellent pedigree and Foundation Tennessee Walking Horse bloodlines as well. She is a super-smooth gaited horse to ride, like floating on a cloud! Grace walks, flat walks, run walks, canters and gallops excellently and in control at all times. Grace is confident on trail and always listens to her rider's cues. This mare can be ridden on the road and is used for working cattle as well. We rode Grace in the Tennessee mountains on very difficult terrain and she is very sure-footed. At one point during the ride, we were going up the mountain and it was so steep, we were stopping every 10-15 steps to take a break. To do so, we have to stand perpendicular to the mountain to rest the horses. Grace was a completely wonderful horse to ride throughout the whole day! Through deep creeks and sliding steep downhills, Grace handles changes in terrain with ease and is not a spooky horse at all! Grace is a very gentle souled horse. She is sweet and shy - never an angry horse at all. Grace can be ridden bareback with just a halter on trail and be in complete control. We are happy to have Grace at our farm and enjoy riding her in every situation! PS Grace has been sold! A smooth, sane, safe horse to ride. Who could ask anything more from a great horse?" |
