HAVANNAH HILLS I photographed a lovely 16 hh Warmblood mare last weekend just south of Cookstown, Ontario. She is owned by Sheena Gow and she had this to say about Hannah: "Hannah (Havannah Hills) was born June 7, 2004 - finally, after 3 weeks past the ETD! We were the first to do the imprinting as her new parents. Hannah's sire is a Holberg (Swedish Warmblood) dressage champion. Her dam is Esprit a Trillium/A-Circuit part Trakehner/ Thoroughbred horse. When Hannah turned 3, the serious training began. Linda Weldon of Caydon Farm, who coached my daughter Kristen, provided a solid foundation for our filly. You would be surprised to know that Hannah had a “wild” side to her that she’s thankfully grown out of. She has become an easy going, ready-to-please horse. (I called it the teenage angst stage). She loves to muzzle with you; however, watch out for the whisker burns. She has amazing strength but a gentle disposition. Hannah likes to be the boss in the paddock. Hannah's favorite foods are stud muffins and apples. Her favorite activity is running in tall grass and jumping over anything. I think she’s trying to tell us that the “eventing” world is her forte. We can’t imagine life without Hannah… she’s our pride and joy!" Congratulations to Hannah for being out June 22nd, 2009 'Horse of the Week!' |
