Teodosio del Cardenal

I photographed Teo at last week's Central Canada Paso Fino Horse Association's Fun Show. Leslie Howarth of Guelph, Ontario, owns Teo and wrote this week's HOW story:

"I never imagined that I would purchase my first horse without ever laying eyes on him. With the help of a very perceptive horse-human matchmaker, that is exactly what I did.

I remember the overwhelming sense of gratitude and delight I experienced on the day Teo walked off the trailer to start his new life at Fina Vista Farm. I marveled at his soft brown eyes, winding river blaze, long dark mane, shiny coat and exquisitely pretty face. With the two words - "my horse" - spinning in my head, I felt like the luckiest person in the world.

Teodosio del Cardenal is a 6 year old gelding. His Dam is Princessa del Cardenal and his Sire is Profeta de Besilu. Teo is a super inquisitive and happy trail horse, a great ride in a parade and well-mannered in the ring. He is an honest, cuddly, people friendly, drop dead gorgeous horse. Together, we continue to grow in confidence and skill.

The name Teodosio means "a gift from the gods". Clearly, it was a match made in heaven. Leslie Howarth."
