Destino del Cardenal This gorgeous 2005 black Paso Fino colt is owned by Camilla Willings of Fina Vista Farm in Damascus, Ontario. Camilla tells the story of this black beauty. "I bought Destino as a yearling from the USA with hopes that he will develop into a quality stallion for Fina Vista Farm. I enjoyed the process of training and showing our other stallion, Mercenario deLa Libertad, so much that I wanted another project with that kind of challenge and excitement. To give myself a goal for this colt I have entered him in the 2008 Paso Fino Horse Association Futurity (under saddle classes). I chose him primarily for his pedigree and secondly for his looks. Destino's sire, Mandato de La Luisa, is a stunning Colombian Classic Fino horse. He is by the phenomenal reproducer Patrimonio del Ocho. This horse's offspring dominate the show ring in Colombia, South America. Destino's dam, Celestia del Cardenal, is a multi-National Champion Performance mare by the PFHA Horse of the Millenium, Capuchino and out of a Cosmos mare. Pictures here show Destino at 23 months, already developing into a gorgeous Paso Fino. Needless to say, I can always count on Leslie Town to capture that special, beautiful essence of each of my horses in her spectacular photography!. Destino is sensible, kind, gentle and people-loving. He is easy to work with and enjoys attention. His gait is natural and exciting to watch. We look forward to beginning his under-saddle training late fall, 2007 and we hope to have Destino available for stallion service in the future. I look forward to seeing Destino discover his destiny..." Congratulations to Destino for being our September 3rd, 2007 Horse of the Week! |
