Retozo de Colores It has been too long since we featured a Paso Fino as Horse of the Week so we are happy to introduce Retozo de Colores. Meeting Retozo for the first time made me wish I was in a position to become a horse owner! This beautiful 14 hh red dun Paso Fino gelding was born April 11th, 2003 as the result of an embryo transfer. His dam is Venecia de Besilu and his very famous sire is none other than Capuchino, named Horse of the Millennium by the Paso Fino Horse Association. Retozo was brought here from Florida in the spring of 2006 where he quickly adapted to his new environment at Forest Gait Farm. He is a very calm, gentle and affectionate horse. Retozo loves his younger Paso Fino paddock buddies Monolito, Catalina and Vivo. He hates anything flying and insect-like with a passion and is known as the masked horse during the bug season. Retozo and his owner, Gabriela Klein, enjoy riding the beautiful trails at Forest Gait Farms near Terra Cotta along the Niagara Escarpment during all seasons. Congratulations to Retozo for being our January 29th, 2007 Horse of the Week! Horse of the Week changes sometime Sunday Evening |
