I am always excited to do a photo shoot at a new barn, so when I went to Highview Farms in Waubaushene, Ontario last fall I was thrilled with the beautiful backdrops, the large pond, the green grass, and white fences.

I was there to photograph Kristina Soorsk and her 2 horses Sven and Max. This week we will feature Sven, who quite took my breath away with his impressive size, gleaming, almost white coat, and his sheer presence. He and Kristina made for a wonderfully photogenic pair. The afternoon sunlight was a plus, and of course the  rich fall colours made for a spectacular backdrop.

Here is what Kristina had to say about Sven:

"Sven, whose show name is 'Rendezvous', is a 9 year old, 17.2 hh Dutch Warmblood gelding, He shows on the A Circuit in the CET, OHJA and Jump Canada Medals and is moving in the 1.20M Jumpers. He also Shows in the Central East Trillium Circuit  in the Trillium Jumpers.

I've had him for almost 2 years now and am very excited about his progress and talent and can't wait to see where he takes me!  He has quite the show season ahead of him and we are very excited to see what happens in 2009!"
