Gus

This week we are featuring "The Artful Loper", aka "Gus", as his barn friend's know him. Gus is a very athletic and playful 5 year old Quarter Horse gelding who resides at Maplehaven Equestrian Centre. He enjoys playing with his paddock friends Ted and Jim. Gus's owner, Lori Duff, says he likes to be the center of attention; a prima donna of horses! She also says Gus has great character and expression and he's great to work with.

His owner recently purchased this gorgeous 15.3 hh bay in December 2005 to further her showing career. Gus started his show career early by winning the Yearling Longe Line and Non-pro Yearling Longe Line classes at the 2002 Breeder's Futurity. Gus is being shown this year at schooling shows where he will compete in Halter, Showmanship, Western and English classes. He will also be showing Quarter Horse in Spring 2007.
